“The Butterfly Effect” – Ines Di Santo – SS/2016

Couture Bridal Collection Spring/Summer 2016

“The Butterfly Effect”
For Spring 2016, Ines Di Santo is inspired by the promise of the coming season.
Chantilly lace gowns feel fresh in watercolor shades of blue, champagne and pink are masterfully constructed with airy tulle and satin layers. Sweeping removable over skirts in tiered textures of Guipure and Alençon lace are light to the touch and luminous.
Sheer panels and intricate embroidery recall the delicateness of a butterfly’s wings as vine-like motifs unfurl themselves along bodices and full skirts.
The season flourishes before one’s eyes with gold leaf lace and pearl seeding reminiscent of cherry blossoms and exotic garden flowers.
In addition to Ines Di Santo’s classic mermaid silhouette, the collection boasts ethereal ball gowns dotted with pearls and crystals, culminating in a show-stopping vision of pale pink with hand-crafted blooms.
